The Young Turks news video, talked about and quoted the comments made by students towards the Duke Freshmen as well as her own response to the situation. The lady was concerned and believed the comments lashing at her were unnecessary and rude, while the guy said that the student shouldn't be surprised by the way her classmates responded. The guy seemed pretty rude saying how the students should just watch her videos and enjoy it rather than bashing out at her. They also talked about how the Freshmen should've known that people would recognize her because porn is public and seen by many.
On the other hand, the view talked about how it was a great way to pay tuition and a different take on it. They also talked about if this was a new alternative towards college students fro paying the tuition. Even though they took a more comedic take on it they made some good point on how the girl should focus on her and do what makes her happy.
I wrote almost the same thing in my blog. I agree that her classmates should not be treating her the way that they are, but it is the way of society now and we can't change that.
ReplyDeleteHi Yanely! I do agree with you about how the gentleman in The Young Turks seemed out of line for what he said about young-men needing to just watch her videos. That seem's like a immature solution to the overhanging issue of society's irrational response to a young lady doing porn.

I too think the guy was being rude when he stated that people should just enjoy it even though porn is in fact public and anyone can see it. But I, like the people you talked about that were on The View feel as though if that is what she choices to do and it makes her happy then she should not let that stop her!
ReplyDeleteThe guy was definitely not keeping in mind how harsh his comments were, he could've delivered his opinion in a more proper way. At the end of the day, it of course is her choice and if she loves it then I think no one else should worry for her.
